What is there to get up for
Rain
Cold
Miserable days
Between the sunny

Crispy 

And slippy ones

Feed the dogs
Lots of licks and wagging tails
That’s worth
Getting up for
Love
Unconditional love
In loads

Just for a while
The blues are gone
A mindful moment
Giving care
Then cuddles
Warmth
And loyal hugs

Share a sofa
Two furry friends
They don’t talk
But love is clear
Snuggles
Tell you 

Everything

The worries disappear
At least for now
Time to think
Of better things
Of warmer places
Scenic things

Raindrops drop
And trickle
Gurgling sounds
Tap tap tap
They go on and on

Splashing

Making puddles

Grey and grim
The sky is dank
Glowering leaden
No relenting
Cloaks the world

In clouds

More clouds

Thursday today
Another week is nearly gone
Tempus fugit
Memento mori
Time flies
Remember death

Is what it says

Inevitable
Eventually
It comes to all
Taking care
Is all one can do
And hope
That others do also
